Not guacamole, but avocado sauce

At its peak, a good avocado can be consumed plain, without any adornments, just like any fruit,   and still taste fantastic.  The “butter-avocados”, the best ones in my opinion, have a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth quality, very similar to butter, hence their name!  I remember the ones from my Granny’s avocado tree, their light green flesh turned any salad into a feast.
